Let's Get Visible: Meet Stuzo Clothing

Tell us your story: Who are you, where are you from, what do you do? What motivated you to start Stuzo Clothing?
Our names are Uzo Ejikeme and Stoney Michelli and we are the owners of Stuzo Clothing. We are both from NY by way of Nigeria and Panama. Stuzo is a gender-free clothing brand. Our mission is to create a space in the fashion world where all are welcome. We strive to affirm us as humxn beings through fashion. The motivation to start Stuzo Clothing stemmed from our inherent need to self-express.

What have been some of the "peaks and valleys" of growing Stuzo Clothing into the brand it is today?
One of our peaks happened in 2019 when Lena Waithe hosted Jimmy Kimmel wearing our Coco Butter sweatshirt. That was such an amazing moment! Our Valleys moments mostly are about having enough capital to sustain the work that is required to continue the mission that is Stuzo
We LOVE your personal style, what are some of your favorite brands?
Thank you! Some of our favorite brands are Karl Kani, Phat Farm, Cross Colours and Rockawear!

Who or what is a constant source of inspiration for you?
We are constantly inspired by our youth – The courage and the unapologetic nature in which they exist.

How can the community follow and support your upcoming projects? (feel free to add all your social handles, etc)

What's next for you?  What's something you're looking forward to?
We are focused on moving into growing the brand. Implementing structures to assist in our growth. We are looking forward to Stuzo becoming a household name.
